Standing Ovation for Banksy

England world cup winning legend Gordon Banks received a standing ovation after his appearance at the Coalpit Heath Football club′s sporting dinner at the Aztec Hotel in Bristol last night. Gordon told stories about his playing career and some fantastically entertaining tales about his world cup adventures in 1966 & 1970. Gordon was interviewed by Jackfm world of sport presenter Jed Pitman & this was played during his legends slot on Saturday morning.

Comedian John Lory, was in great form entertaining a packed room of guests with his mix of light hearted humour & slapstick comedy.

The silent auction, an auction of donated items including a signed Gordon Banks replica 1966 goalkeeper shirt, raffle & games on the night raised £2,000 towards kick starting the fund raising efforts for the improvements to the Manor playing field facility in Coalpit Heath.
